Quick measuring guide — how to choose the right size:
- Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (this is the length your dog will occupy curled or stretched).
- If your dog sleeps curled, choose a bed with diameter at least equal to that length. If your dog stretches out, add 6–8 in to that length and pick the next larger size.
- Also use your dog’s weight as a cross-check against the "Best for" column — for comfort choose the size that fits both length and weight guidance.
If you prefer a firmer rule of thumb: Puppies/toy breeds use Puppy (20 in), small dogs use L (24 in), medium dogs use XL (28 in), and larger breeds use 2XL (36 in).
