- Measure your dog from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail — this is the body length to compare with the mat's longer dimension.
- Measure the widest part of your dog (usually the shoulders or hips) and compare to the mat's shorter dimension.
- Allow extra room for comfort: add about 4–6 in to the length measurement so your pet can stretch or change position.
