How to measure your dog (use these three checks):
- Weigh your dog — use a household scale and record weight in lbs.
- Measure body length — from the base of the neck (where collar sits) to the base of the tail, in inches.
- Measure chest girth — around the widest part of the ribcage, in inches.
Match weight and body length to the table above. Aim for about 1–2 in of extra room (front-to-back or side-to-side) so your dog can sit or curl comfortably. If your dog is close to 20 lbs or has a broad chest, choose size L for the most comfortable fit.
