- Single-size carrier — best suited for small pets. Based on the product photos and shoulder-carrier style, we recommend this carrier for pets up to about ~15 lbs (examples: Pomeranian, Toy Poodle, Shih Tzu, small terriers).
- Fit guidance (approximate): comfortable for pets with back length up to ~14 inches and chest girth up to ~18 inches. These are practical recommendations to help you decide—allow a little extra room so your pet can sit and turn comfortably.
- How to measure your pet:
- • Weight: weigh your pet on a household scale.
- • Back length: measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail—record in inches.
- • Chest girth: measure the widest part of the chest (just behind the front legs)—record in inches.
- Decision rule: your pet should be under the recommended weight and small enough in length/chest that they can sit and turn with about 2–3 inches of free space around them. If your pet is close to these recommendations, consider whether you prefer a snug carrier (closer fit) or a bit more room—choose accordingly.
