Quick fit rule: Choose a pool with a diameter at least 6–12 in larger than your dog’s body length (neck base to tail base) so they can lie down and turn comfortably. If your dog is between sizes, pick the larger size.
How to measure your dog:
- Measure body length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
- Measure shoulder width: across the widest part of the shoulders.
- Compare: body length should be at least 6–12 in shorter than the pool diameter for comfortable turning and play.
If you plan to have multiple dogs or add play balls, allow extra clearance and consider the next size up.
