- Measure chest girth at the widest part of the ribcage (behind the front legs).
- Choose a mat size where the mat length is at least 4–8 in longer than your dog's length for a comfortable fit; if your dog sleeps fully stretched, add 8–12 in or pick the next size up.
- If between sizes, pick the larger size so your dog can stretch and move freely.
