Installation requirement: fits walls with thickness of 1.87–2.85 in.
- Measure shoulder width (widest part across the shoulders). Add about 1–2 in to that width for comfortable clearance through the flap.
- Measure shoulder height from the floor to the top of the shoulders. The flap height should be at least 2–4 in taller than this measurement so your dog can pass without crouching.
- Measure the wall thickness where you will install the door — it must be between 1.87 and 2.85 in.
- If your dog is between sizes, pick the next size up for easier entry and exit.
