How to measure to confirm this will fit your dog
- Put your dog in the harness you will use in the car and have them sit in the car seat as they normally would.
- Measure from the harness D‑ring (where you attach a leash) to the car's seat belt buckle or anchor point — this is the minimum tether length you need.
- If that measurement is less than about 27 in, the 33.5 in tether will give comfortable movement. If it measures between about 27 in and 33.5 in, your dog will have limited but acceptable movement. If it measures longer than 33.5 in, the tether will reach full extension and offer no extra slack.
Tips: Always attach the tether to a harness (never a collar). The elastic retractable design reduces sudden jolts but is not a substitute for a crash‑tested restraint system; use it for everyday travel and short trips with appropriately sized dogs.
