Quick guidance: choose the size with a width equal to or slightly larger than the clear opening where you’ll mount the fence. The height is 49.2 in for every size.
- How to measure the opening: Measure the clear width (left-to-right) of the doorway or passage at the spot where the fence will attach. Match that width to one of the sizes above. If your opening falls between sizes, pick the next larger size.
- Check height clearance: Measure from floor to the top mounting point to confirm you have at least 49.2 in of vertical space.
- How to check your dog: Measure your dog’s shoulder (withers) height. If your dog is a strong jumper or its shoulder height is close to half the fence height, choose one size larger for extra security.
