Quick pick rule: choose the size where your dog’s nose-to-base-of-tail length is equal to or smaller than the size row above, then add about 4–8 in for a comfortable stretch or curl.
- How to measure your dog: Have your dog stand naturally. Measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (where the tail meets the body). That number is the length used in the table.
- If your dog sleeps stretched out, add 6–8 in to the measured length. If they curl tightly, adding 4 in is usually enough.
- Use weight and breed examples in the table as a quick secondary check — when in doubt pick the next size up for extra room.
