- How to measure your pet: Measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail. Compare that number to the bed length — choose a bed at least 4–6 in longer than your pet's measured length for comfortable resting and headroom.
- If your dog sleeps stretched out, allow an extra 6–8 in. If your dog curls up, 4 in extra is usually enough.
