- Measure the opening width where you plan to install the gate (left-to-right). Compare that number to the gate's listed width (W). Choose the size with a width equal to or greater than your opening.
- Measure the vertical height from floor to the lowest point you need the gate to reach; compare to the gate's height (H). The gate height is 30.7 in.
- Check your dog's shoulder height or standing chest height — for containment you generally want the gate taller than your dog’s shoulder height.
- If your opening sits between sizes, pick the larger size to ensure full coverage. The adhesive hooks work best on smooth, finished surfaces.
