Quick way to confirm the right size
- Measure your car's rear bench width (left-to-right) in inches. If the bench is roughly under 48 in, S is the usual fit; if the bench is about 48 in or wider, choose L.
- Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (length) in inches and weigh your dog in pounds to compare with the recommended ranges above.
- Pick the size matching both your car bench width and your dog’s weight/length. If your car is an SUV or has a deep bench, L is generally the safer choice.
How to measure if you’re unsure: 1) Sit in the rear seat and measure left-to-right across the seat cushion for bench width. 2) Measure front-to-back of the seat cushion if you have a very deep bench. 3) Measure your dog’s length (neck base to tail base) and weight in lbs. Use those numbers to confirm S or L from the table above.
