Best fit (recommendation): Designed as a single-size car seat cover — roomy for most small to medium dogs. We recommend it for dogs up to about ~35 lbs (examples: French Bulldog, Beagle, Cocker Spaniel, Boston Terrier, small mixed breeds). Larger dogs may find the seating area tight.
Quick fit check — three easy steps:
- Measure your dog's body length: from the base of the neck (where collar sits) to the base of the tail. If this is less than or equal to 23.6 in, your dog will comfortably fit the seat base.
- Measure sitting height: measure from the seat surface (or floor) up to the top of your dog's head when sitting. If this is less than or equal to 20.9 in, the back coverage will be sufficient.
- Check body width: the usable seat depth is about 13.8 in. If your dog sits curled or narrow (less than ~14 in across), it will sit comfortably; wider dogs can still use it but may hang slightly over the edges.
How to measure quickly: use a soft tape or a ruler laid along the dog. For length, measure from collar base to tail base; for sitting height, have the dog sit naturally and measure from the sitting surface to the top of the head. Compare your measurements to the product dimensions above — if your dog's length and sitting height are at or below those numbers, this cover will fit well.
