- Recommended fit: Designed for medium-to-large dogs. We estimate this size is best for dogs up to about 70 lbs (examples: Labrador Retriever, Boxer, Bulldog, Australian Shepherd). Dogs that sleep curled up will find this roomy; dogs that sleep fully stretched may find it snug.

How to measure your dog (quick check):
- Measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (in inches).
- Measure shoulder width at the widest point (in inches).
- If your dog's nose-to-tail length is under ~35 in and shoulder width is under ~20 in, this S size will generally be a comfortable fit. If your dog stretches fully while sleeping, add 6–8 in to the length measurement to determine comfort.
- Quick decision rule: If your dog is a typical medium-to-large breed up to ~70 lbs and does not sleep fully stretched out, this S size should work well. If your dog is larger than ~70 lbs or always sleeps fully extended, consider a larger bed style instead.
