- Back length — measure from the base of the neck (where the neck meets the shoulders) to the base of the tail.
- Chest girth — measure the widest part of the ribcage, just behind the front legs.
- Standing height — measure from the floor to the top of the shoulders if your pet will sit upright inside the carrier.
- Fit guideline: For comfortable travel, allow about 4–6 inches of extra length beyond your pet's back length and about 2–4 inches extra width beyond chest girth so your pet can sit, turn, and lie down naturally.
- Quick check: If your dog is heavier than ~35 lbs or is a tall breed, this stroller may feel snug. For those dogs, consider a larger, heavy-duty stroller designed for large breeds.
