How to measure your dog (simple checks)
- Weigh your dog on a household scale (hold your dog, weigh yourself, subtract your weight).
- Measure chest girth (around the widest part of the ribcage) and front-to-back length (from base of neck to base of tail) to sanity-check — the carrier should allow the dog to sit comfortably with legs through the openings.
- Confirm: dog can sit upright with room to move; legs are not forced tight against the carrier—if not, choose the next size up.
