Quick how to measure your dog (so the door fits):
- Measure your dog's shoulder height: from the floor to the highest point of the shoulder. For a comfortable fit, shoulder height should be equal to or shorter than the flap height (M example flap height = 8 1/4 in); give at least 1 in clearance.
- Measure the widest part of the chest/shoulders (across the front). That width should be less than the flap width (M example flap width = 12 1/4 in) with about 1 in clearance for easy passage.
- Measure your sliding door frame height where the unit will install. The product's frame adjusts between 75 7/8 in and 80 11/16 in — confirm your door falls inside that range.
