- Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (body length). This is the minimum mat length your dog needs to lie stretched.
- Measure around the widest part of your dog’s body (girth/chest). If your dog is broad, pick the next size up for comfort.
- Choose a size where the mat length is at least equal to your dog’s body length plus 2–4 inches for comfortable resting. When in doubt, size up — a slightly larger mat gives better cooling surface.
