Best for: Small dogs — we recommend this seat for most small breeds up to about ~25 lbs (examples: Pomeranian, Shih Tzu, Miniature Dachshund, Maltese). If your dog is very stocky or tall when sitting, double-check with the measuring steps below.
Quick fit check: Your dog should be shorter than 15.4 in from collar to base of tail and narrower than 15.4 in across the hips when sitting. The 10.6 in height gives light side/back containment — good for seated or relaxed pets, but not for very large or jumping dogs.
How to measure your dog (do this in 2 minutes):
- Measure length: place a tape measure from the base of the neck (where the collar sits) to the base of the tail.
- Measure width: measure across the widest part of your dog’s hips while the dog is sitting or standing.
