How to choose the right size — quick steps:
- Measure shoulder/elbow height: With your dog standing square, measure from the floor to the bottom of the elbow. The bowl rim should sit at or just below that height so your dog can eat with a neutral neck posture.
- Check muzzle clearance: Measure the widest part of your dog’s muzzle; the bowl should be wide enough for comfortable access to food without forcing the muzzle in at an angle.
- If your dog is between sizes, choose the larger size for more comfortable access and to allow separated wet/dry portions.
