How to check fit (quick):
- Measure your pet's body length: from the base of the neck to the base of the tail.
- Measure your pet's chest girth: the widest part of the chest, just behind the front legs.
- Compare length first: if your pet's body length is up to 13.2 in, the collapsed mode will fit comfortably; if it's between 13.2 in and 23.8 in, the expanded mode is suitable. Allow 1–2 in of extra room for comfort and turning.

Practical guidance: This carrier is designed for cats and small dogs. Collapsed mode is ideal for small breeds (for example: Chihuahuas, Yorkies, Maltese) and most adult cats. The expanded mode can accommodate longer small-to-small-medium pets that measure under 23.8 in in body length. If your pet's body length exceeds 23.8 in, this carrier will be too short for them to lie down comfortably.
