Quick tips to pick the right size
- Measure your dog from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (length) and across the widest part of the shoulders (width), in inches.
- If your dog is stocky, has a broad chest, or you want extra room to stretch, choose the next size up from the weight/breed suggestion above.
- If your dog falls between two size recommendations, pick the larger size for comfort and cooling surface.
How to quickly check fit at home
- Lay the mat flat and have your dog lie naturally on its side or stomach. The mat should fully support your dog’s body without hanging off the edges.
- For a snug fit, the mat should cover from just behind the shoulders to near the base of the tail. If you prefer room to stretch, allow a few extra inches lengthwise.
Example: a 20 lb Beagle will usually be comfortable on size M; a 70 lb Labrador will usually be best on size XL. When in doubt, opt for the larger size for more cooling area.
