- Choose a pad at least 4–6 inches longer than your dog’s body length and a few inches wider than the widest point so the dog can lie comfortably without hanging off the pad.
- If you’ll use the pad in a crate or on furniture, measure the interior surface and match to the pad dimensions above; allow extra room for bedding.
