How to choose and measure:
- Measure your dog from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (in inches). Do not include the tail tip.
- Measure the widest point (shoulders or hips) to know required width. If the dog sleeps stretched out, add 6–12 in to length and 4–8 in to width for comfort.
- If you plan to cover a bed, sofa, or crate, measure the furniture surface (length × width) and choose a cover equal to or slightly larger than those dimensions.
- Use the "Best for" column as a recommendation: if your dog's length or bed dimensions are near the higher end of a size's recommendation, pick the next size up for a looser, more comfortable fit.
