Quick measuring guide — how to check fit:
- Have your pet lie down naturally. Measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail (this gives the length needed).
- Allow an extra 3–6 in beyond that length so your pet can stretch and remain fully on the pad.
- If your pet curls up, measure the curled width; if they stretch, use the stretched length. Choose the pad size that leaves at least 3 in of extra edge on all sides.
Example: a pet that measures about 30 in nose-to-tail will be most comfortable on the L size (23.6 x 35.4 in) because it allows room to stretch. If you prefer a simpler rule: S ≈ very small pets up to ~10 lbs, M ≈ small pets up to ~25 lbs, L ≈ medium pets up to ~50 lbs.
