- If your pet's length is close to the upper part of the recommended weight/size range, choose the larger size for extra room. As a rule of thumb, allow about 4–8 inches more length than your pet for comfortable stretching and nesting.
If your pet is between sizes or prefers to sprawl, pick the larger size (M). These blankets are designed as soft, washable mats — choose S for cozy, compact spots and M for looser, roomier bedding.
