- If your dog is between sizes or heavy-boned, choose the larger size for extra room.
How to measure your dog (simple steps):
- Measure from the tip of the nose to the base of the tail while your dog is standing or lying naturally — record this in inches.
- Decide how your dog sleeps: curled or stretched. For curled sleepers, measure the curled length (nose to tail base while curled).
- Add 4–8 inches to that measurement for comfortable movement and a cozy border — if your dog stretches, add 8–12 inches.
- Match the final number to the size guidance above. When unsure, choose the larger size.
Example: a curled small dog measuring 14 in (nose to tail base) would be best in size M; a dog that stretches to 30 in would be better in L or XL depending on build.
