- Measure your dog while curled or sleeping naturally: measure across the widest part of the curled body (nose to side of tail) to get the needed diameter.
- Compare that measurement to the bed diameter above — pick a bed at least 2–4 in larger than your dog’s curled measurement for comfortable curling.
- Also consider weight and mobility: if your dog tends to fully stretch out or is between sizes, choose the larger size. For older or arthritic dogs who prefer stepping in, check the bed height (7.1–7.9 in) to ensure easy access.
