How to measure your dog (quick):
- Measure length from the base of the neck (where collar sits) to the base of the tail. This gives the minimum length the pet needs to lie stretched out.
- Measure width across the widest part (usually shoulders or hips).
- Add 3–6 in to the length measurement for comfort and extra room to turn or curl.
- Choose the size where both the mattress length and width meet or exceed your adjusted measurements.
Example: a dog that measures 18 in long (neck base to tail base) + 4 in comfort = 22 in; pick XL (23.62 in length) for a comfortable fit.
