How to measure your pet (3 quick steps)
- For pets that stretch out: measure from the base of the neck to the base of the tail (do not include the tail). Choose a bed length at least 3–6 in longer than that measurement.
- For pets that curl: measure the diameter of the curled position (nose to tail base while curled). Make sure the bed's shorter side (width) is equal to or larger than the curled diameter.
- Compare your measurements to the XL dimensions above (23.6 in × 17.7 in). If your pet's stretch length + 3–6 in fits within the bed length, or the curled diameter fits within the bed width, the XL will be a good fit.
Example: a cat that measures 12 in from neck base to tail base will be comfortable on the XL, because 12 in + 3–6 in ≤ 23.6 in.
